Every Wednesday, we gather as a community for a special “Wednesday Check-In”—a time where we share, reflect, and grow together taking topics from the TACO Tribe Discord discussions. This past week, we confronted some of the hardest questions we face: Where is God in our suffering? How do we make sense of our grief? Through scripture, real stories, and reflections, we found ways to see God’s presence even in our pain.

During the stream, we explored:

  • Where is God During Suffering? – We shared heartfelt stories from our community, honestly asking where God is during our darkest moments, and how He might be working even when we don’t see it.
  • Lessons from Habakkuk – The Book of Habakkuk provided a backdrop for us to talk about questioning God’s plan and yet choosing to trust Him despite our doubts.
  • Horatio Spafford’s Story and ‘It Is Well’ – We took inspiration from Horatio Spafford’s story—a man who wrote “It Is Well with My Soul” amid deep personal tragedy. His story offered us a raw and genuine look at surrendering to God through unimaginable loss.
  • Practical Steps to Surrender Control – Finally, we shared practical insights into how we can let go of our need to control everything and instead, place our trust in God. This discussion included real-life examples and advice that’s doable for anyone feeling overwhelmed.

This “Wednesday Check-In” was all about creating a space where we could face hard questions with honesty and hope—together. Whether you’re struggling, curious, or simply need encouragement, this conversation is for you.
